Any type of bathtub in any condition can be resurfaced, even the most worn, dull and rough bath can be restored to its former glory. We can resurface your bath in situ or in our workshop. Having a bath re-enamelled can save you a small fortune, avoiding the cost of a new bath, damaging tiles, replacing taps and pipework, as well as reducing your carbon footprint. We can resurface any type of bathtub; including cast iron, pressed steel, acrylic or fibreglass.
The process typically takes approximately 5 hours and the tub will be ready for use 48hours after the work is complete. We can also match any colour, so if you have an existing bathroom suite with a bathtub or sink lacking its original shine, we can resurface them to match the existing colour. We call the process re-enamelling although this is not to be confused with vitreous enamel, this process has to be carried out in an 8000-degree oven so would therefore be impossible to carry out in situ. The enamel we use is a synthetic material which we spray on once finished it looks and feels just like a vitreous enamel.
Our technician expertly masks all the taps, tiles, floor, walls and anything else that needs it, before we resurface your sanitary wear. We also set up an extraction duct to remove any fumes omitted while the sanitary wear is resurfaced. Once the sanitary wear is resurfaced our technician will remove the all the masking (except the taps- to avoid any water coming into contact with the bath), leaving you with a brand new looking, shiny refurbished bath tub.
